History
MEA was founded in 1979 by a group of physicians who understood that patients’ medical needs often occurred outside the traditional 8am to 5pm clinic setting. The first MEA Medical Clinic opened in Pearl and offered extended hours, including Saturday, with no appointment needed to see the doctor.
MEA now has fifteen clinics, with locations in Brandon, Byram, Canton, Clinton, Flowood, Flora, Laurel, Madison, Pearl, Richland, Ridgeland and Vicksburg. MEA also offers drug testing on-site and at all MEA Clinics.
Mission Statement
Our mission at MEA Medical Clinics continues to be meeting the ambulatory and primary care needs of our patients in a manner that combines compassion and convenience. While our physicians strive to provide comprehensive healthcare, we do not represent or replace hospital emergency care; nor can we treat chronic pain syndromes.
For medical conditions outside the scope of our practice, MEA is committed to referring our patients to the appropriate specialist. At MEA Medical Clinics we pride ourselves on being where you need us, when you need us, with primary and ambulatory care for the entire family.
